Web Developer - Hungry Sandwich Club

Hungry Sandwich Club is a creative studio specialising in motion and digital design. In this role you’ll be working directly with agencies and brands, building sites and web apps with a key focus on design, interactive and motion.

The Role:

We're looking to hire a talented web developer who is excited about creating playful and interactive websites.

This role is perfect for a creative developer ready to take the next step and grow within our close knit team. If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for problem-solving and are hungry to pick up new skills this could be the job for you!

Details:

• Position – Full Time
• Location – Leeds City Centre
• Starting salary – £24-27k reviewed annually
• Holiday days – 21 days + Christmas break + Bank Holidays

You'll be:

• Working collaboratively in a small team with a hands on approach.
• Working across different project areas and FE tech stacks (Alpine, Sveltekit, Vue/Nuxt & more).
• Building a wide range of portfolio, ecommerce, creative and charity sites.
• Using Figma and Figjam to work collaboratively with designers and clients.
• Curious, continually learning and exploring new areas.
• Working closely with clients to guide on technical decisions and support.
• Based in our City Centre studio 4 days a week, working from home on Fridays.

Experience:

• Agency or freelance experience building commercial websites for clients.

Essential skills:

• Strong frontend fundamentals - HTML, CSS, Javascript.
• Experience with CMS platforms eg. Craft, Wordpress and Shopify.
• Great code organisation and workflows.
• Experience with version control though Git
• Eye for design details.
• Hungry to keep up to date with development tools, techniques and trends.
• Good communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Wireframing / UX skills.
• Experimental / Creative coding examples eg. Three.js, GSAP, Lottie.
• Experience with CI/CD eg. DeployHQ, Github Actions.
• Presentation skills.
