Hattie Clark is a Leeds-based freelance illustrator instantly recognisable for her inky, playful and handmade style. With a practice balanced between client work for the likes of Pieminister and Lucy and Yak, and selling her own growing range of clothing, stationery and cards - Our unique combo of motion, playfulness and Shopify know-how gave Hattie a website and online shop bursting with personality that could both increase commissions and build sales.

Motion played a huge role in ensuring that the site was as fun and friendly as Hattie’s work. Using a mix of techniques, including frame by frame animation, we littered the site with cheeky and charming moments.
Our custom-built Shopify theme improved the shopping experience for customers, reducing steps from browsing to buying. Content is easy to manage across the site, giving Hattie all the tools to promote new product ranges and case studies as the site grows with her.
"I worked with Leeds-based studio, Hungry Sandwich Club on the animations, design and build. They were absolutely brilliant. We wanted to create a site that reflected my personality, who I am as an illustrator and the kind of work I love to make. This, of course, meant plenty of wobbly shapes, inky lettering and playful characters. Through animation, it's also been lovely to see so many of my illustrations come to life."
